A hospitality industry veteran, Nick McGreevy has served as Scoma’s General Manager since 2001, running the daily operations of this venerable waterfront restaurant serving San Francisco’s freshest seafood. A member of the Scoma’s team since 1996, Nick oversees the 330-seat restaurant’s group bookings, front-of-the-house operations and staffing, and ensures the restaurant’s high customer service standards. A sommelier with a true passion for wine, Nick created and manages Scoma’s Wine Spectator magazine award-win ning wine cellar along with a 175-bottle list that has dramatically increased wine sales.
Nick joined Scoma’s after sailing the seas worldwide as a Dining Room Head Waiter for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line. During his six-year tenure with RCCL he worked aboard five of the company’s state of the art vessels.
A native of Liverpool, England, Nick left the UK in 1989 drawn to a new life in the United States.
Nick’s passion for wine focuses not only on local California wines but also on wines from Europe. He is fluent in Spanish. As a member of the North American Sommelier Association, he became an Italian Wine Specialist in 2011. He holds a Higher National Diploma in Hotel, Catering and Institutional Management from, what is today, the Cardiff Metropolitan University in Wales, UK. In his spare time, Nick is an avid runner, backpacker, and skier and music lover.
